Angela’s Heart started up in January of 2012.
Also in January, Lea met with survivors of abuse and faith community leaders at a Thai restaurant on Church Street in Toronto, Canada to begin to discern the needs of the time.
In the aftermath of a wave of abuse of children and vulnerable adults within churches of all denominations, Lea set about finding a way to support those who have been affected by abuse.
The company initially only provided business and technical writing services to major Canadian financial institutions.
In addition to the above services, Angela’s Heart is now in a position to offer alternative dispute resolution services. These services are offered in hopes of avoiding re-traumatizing people (who have already been grievously harmed) in adversarial, litigious environments, and to minimize the costs to all parties.
